LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police have announced the arrest of a man in connection with the death of a child over a year ago.
On Oct. 27, Gregory Ford Jr., 24, was indicted by a grand jury on a murder charge in relation to the death of a 1-year-old Evani McAfee-Wooten, LMPD confirmed.
Police said the incident happened on Aug. 21, 2024. Officers were called to an ‘assist fire run’ in the 1500 block of Haskin Avenue on the report of a 1-year-old girl unconscious and not breathing. Evani McAffee-Wooten was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital, where she later died…
