Wilmington man pleads guilty to felony burglary, assault charges

BOLIVIA, N.C. (WECT) – A Wilmington man has pleaded guilty to multiple felonies, including first-degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, and assault.

A Superior Court Judge sentenced 25-year-old Dimetrius Cokley-Parker to serve 67-93 months, plus an additional 10-21 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, according to the District Attorney’s Office.

The District Attorney’s Office states that Cokley-Parker “followed his ex-girlfriend to the home of one of her friends,” breaking into a second-story window in the middle of the night.

Once inside, Cokley-Parker assaulted and attempted to rob a male in the home with a gun and assaulted his ex-girlfriend, also threatening an eyewitness, according to records…
