LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Tuesday will see sun-filled skies through the day. Temperatures will climb from the 70s to near 80 during the afternoon hours. A cold front will push through the area in the evening hours.
This front will bring showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong or severe. These storms could produce damaging wind gusts, tornadoes, and hail, so make sure you have a way to get warnings in case they are issued. After the front moves through, winds shift from the north and get quite gusty. We could see wind gusts over 30 mph at times. Highs Wednesday will reach the upper 60s.
