CHANA, Ill. (WTVO) — Ogle County police arrived at the scene of a car that had rolled over and was on fire after a crash on Saturday, and arrested an Oregon man on charges of drunk driving.
According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene in the 5000 block of E. Illinois Route 64 around 8:16 p.m.
The investigation revealed that Clifford Lancaste, 40, was traveling westbound and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve, veering off the north side of the roadway, overturning at least once before coming to a stop in the ditch, where the car burst into flames, police said…
