COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus Water Works is proposing a rate increase and new fee for 2026 to help fund major upgrades to the city’s water and wastewater systems.
The utility company presented its plan to the Columbus City Council Tuesday night, using the meeting as a second public forum to explain the proposal.
The plan includes a nearly 5% annual rate increase and a new regulatory compliance fee.
