On October 27, 2025, the Fayetteville City Council held its regular meeting at City Hall in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The council made several announcements and recognitions. Rylen Mack was introduced as the new Junior Mayor and Chair of the Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council. Councilman Mario Benavente announced the Veterans Day Parade, scheduled for November 1 in Downtown Fayetteville and organized by the Veterans Council of Cumberland County.
During the City Manager’s Report, Assistant City Manager Kelly Strickland recognized city staff who received the Pinnacle Award and Member’s Choice Award from the National Association of Government Web Professionals for work on the city’s website. The council approved the meeting agenda unanimously.
The consent agenda was also approved unanimously. Items included adoption of meeting minutes from earlier in October, the 2026 city council meeting calendar, and a consulting contract with Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, LLC to review the city’s site plan and permitting processes.
