Investigators in Union City released a composite sketch Tuesday of a suspect who attempted to grab a girl on her way to school last week.
Just after 8 a.m. Wednesday, officers were sent to Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School after receiving a report about an 11-year-old girl who said she was grabbed on her way to school. The girl said she was riding her scooter by Dyer Street and Meteor Drive when she was approached by someone who grabbed the hood of her sweatshirt and attempted to pull her. She managed to get away and was uninjured, according to police.
The victim provided further details about the suspect and his associated vehicle. He is male, approximately 6 feet tall, heavyset, with dark tan skin and dark brown, medium-length hair extending to his ears, which was visible beneath a hooded sweatshirt.
