Indy man charged for Medicaid fraud

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man has been charged with 43 counts of Medicaid fraud and one count of theft after allegedly billing more than $2.7 million for services not properly overseen by a qualified physician.

Kevin L. Calvert, 57, is accused in Marion Superior Court 28 of falsifying documents to indicate that a qualified physician was supervising mental health services at his business, TRUTH Treatment Centers Inc. The charges follow an investigation by Attorney General Todd Rokita’s Medicaid fraud control unit.
