Trial in Green Bay stabbing starts Wednesday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – A jury trial is set to begin Wednesday for a man accused of a stabbing in Green Bay.

Jaharrie Jelks, 31, faces four felony charges for the stabbing of a 56-year-old man last December. Police found the victim with multiple stab wounds and arrested Jelks after the man picked him out of a lineup.

Jelks was supposed to stand trial in July, but his case was dismissed without prejudice the day before his trial and then quickly re-filed with an added charge of driving a vehicle without consent…
