MONONA, Wis. (WFRV) — A 20-year-old Wisconsin man remains at large following an early morning police chase near the state’s capital.
According to the Monona Police Department, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle allegedly traveling 72 mph in a 45 mph zone.

The vehicle was slow to stop, entered U.S. Highway 12, exited onto Monona Drive, and ultimately pulled into a parking lot in the 6500 block of Monona Drive.
The officer observed significant movement inside the vehicle and, given the circumstances, waited for backup before making contact.
