Tree trimmer suffers serious burns after clipping power line in Minneapolis

A tree trimmer working in a bucket truck suffered serious burns when he came into contact with a power line in Minneapolis on Monday.

Minneapolis Fire Department reports that the incident happened around 3 p.m. at Johnson Street Northeast and 27th Street, when a worker operating a chainsaw from the truck came into contact with the line.

The man fell unconscious in the bucket, with firefighters and Xcel Energy officials sent to the scene, where the truck was still in contact with life electrical wires.

Ultimately, power was shut down on the line, with another bucket truck brought in to bring the man to the ground…
