CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Caldwell Police arrested 34-year-old Jose Antonio Gallegos Jr. after a dramatic series of events that began around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, when officers responded to reports of an armed suspect near 7th Avenue and Freeport Street. Gallegos was reportedly brandishing two firearms and threatening a neighbor outside a residence on Freeport Street.
After initially fleeing the scene in a vehicle, Gallegos returned and allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim’s residence before escaping again. Detectives used Flock cameras to identify the suspect’s vehicle, which was located around 6:30 p.m. by a Canyon County Sheriff’s deputy near Cleveland Boulevard and Laster Street.
