Hawk Watch 2025 at Grandfather Mountain has ended, and the numbers are in!
This year, staff and volunteers recorded 7,250 raptors — the second-highest tally since the nonprofit nature park’s first Hawk Watch in 2008. 2015 is still the busiest year, with a total of 10,723 birds spotted.
