BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The new Mormon temple, expected to be built in southwest Bakersfield, is still in its planning stages two years after its announcement, according to the Bakersfield Planning Division.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the project site — the northwest of Stockdale Highway and Jewetta Avenue — in July of 2023.
