An Indianapolis man has been sentenced to more than six decades in prison for a November 2023 murder.
Ousman Gasama was found dead and “sitting upright” on the entry stoop of an Indianapolis, Ind. residence on Thanksgiving Day that year, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement shared with PEOPLE. Authorities apprehended Efrem Edmondson soon afterwards, who was convicted of murder in September 2025.
Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responding to the residence on Nov. 23, 2023 found Gasama on the stoop deceased from gunshot wounds, per the statement.
