FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two people, one who was a wanted parolee, were arrested in Fresno after police deliberately crashed into the car he was in to force it to stop on Wednesday.
Officers say that at around 1 p.m., they identified a vehicle that matched one wanted in connection with a shooting investigation. Officers followed the vehicle to the area of Highway 41 and McKinley Avenue, where undercover units then continued to follow it instead. When the suspect vehicle reached Bullard Avenue and Palm Avenue, they attempted to stop the car but were unable to.
The pursuit of the vehicle continued until it reached Bullard Avenue and Blackstone Avenue. According to police, it was there when officers saw the suspect vehicle about to hit two unrelated vehicles that were in traffic at the time, which is when a police vehicle struck the suspect vehicle with a PIT (Pursuit Intervention Technique) maneuver to stop the car…
