Savanna Mansel, a resident of Simpsonville, South Carolina, has been named a 2025 Clyburn Scholar at South Carolina State University (SC State). She is a first-year marketing major. Mansel is also pursuing a minor in Spanish and plans to study abroad to improve her language skills. She is interested in a career in international business or as a global ambassador.
Mansel is a fourth-generation student at SC State, following her family’s tradition. She chose the university to continue this legacy and focus on innovation, leadership, and service. She graduated from Hillcrest High School with a weighted GPA of 4.819 (unweighted 3.88) and ranked in the top 7% of her class.
