Task Force captures attempted murder suspect at West Memphis motel

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man wanted for attempted murder in a weekend shooting in Memphis was captured by the Memphis Safe Task Force at a West Memphis Motel.

The U.S. Marshals Service said Johnny Miller, 28, was taken into custody Wednesday morning at the Super 8 Motel during the multi-agency operation.

Miller was charged with two counts of criminal attempted first-degree murder, two counts of employing a firearm with intent to commit a felony, and one count of reckless endangerment in connection with a shooting on Sunday in the 3000 block of Spottswood Avenue.

The victim was critically wounded, but police have not said what led up to the shooting…
