Irondequoit business shut down, owner charged as part of homicide investigation

Irondequoit, N.Y. — A business on East Ridge Road in Irondequoit where a man was fatally stabbed earlier this month has been shut down by the town and the owner was arrested on a felony charge.

In a letter dated Tuesday, the town revoked the occupancy permit of Lush Resto Lounge effective immediately.

Police said an argument inside the business early Oct. 4 led to a fight between Charles Wilson, 30, and Nuri Simmons, 48, both of Rochester, during which Simmons stabbed Wilson, who died the next day.
