SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Around 12,000 gallons of sewage has spilled on the 1991 GA-25 Connector within the past seven days after a second spill occurred Wednesday, according to city officials.
The sewage spill occurred around at 8 a.m. Wednesday due to a failed air release valve (ARV) in a sanitary sewer force main, a city spokesperson said. An estimated 5,000 gallons of sewage discharged through a manhole before it was stopped.
