SUGAR LAND, Texas – (Realty News Report) – Applied Optoelectronics Inc., a manufacturer of fiber-optic networking products used in data centers, CATV broadband, and other applications, announced an expansion of its Sugar Land operations that will create over 500 manufacturing and technology jobs.
The expansion, announced in conjunction with the City of Sugar Land, consists of a new manufacturing line at the company’s headquarters at 13139 Jess Pirtle Blvd. and a new 210,000-SF facility for manufacturing optical transceivers for AI-focused data centers. It is expected to be in service by summer of 2026.
