Last week, a significant sentence was handed down by the Snohomish County Superior Court as Micah Snyder, a prolific burglar, received 160 months in prison for his crimes that spanned across King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties, in Washington state, Snyder pleaded guilty to a series of high-value thefts totaling more than $750,000 mainly involving sneakers and jewelry, the Attorney General’s office prosecuted Snyder for these cases of organized retail theft.
According to an official release on the Attorney General’s website, AG Nick Brown stated, “Our team successfully prosecuted one of the most prolific retail thieves we have seen in years…I’m proud of the work our attorneys do every day to keep Washingtonians safe,” the charged offenses include first-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm, and organized theft among others which Snyder admitted to, his crimes occurred within a short span from January to March of 2025, the referred prosecution came from the Lynnwood Police Department which the Attorney General’s office took on.
The burglaries were audacious in their execution, often involving the use of firearms and axes to break into stores after business hours, the thefts took place at several malls including Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Southcenter Mall in Tukwila, and South Hill Mall in Puyallup, it was not just streetwear outlets that were hit, as larger retailers like Macy’s and Banter by Piercing Pagoda also suffered losses due to Snyder’s criminal activities…
