Former Harriman city councilman turns himself in after missing court date

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Former Harriman City Councilman Brian Frost turned himself in to the Roane County Sheriff’s Office after he failed to appear for a court date earlier this week.

Frost was scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Monday, October 27, but he did not show. A warrant was then issued for Frost’s arrest, and his bond was doubled from $10,000 to $20,000. Ninth Judicial District Attorney General Russell Johnson reported that Frost turned himself in to the sheriff’s office Wednesday evening.

Johnson said after Frost was booked, he posted a new bond that the court set on his failure to appear charge. Frost is also now represented by an attorney, who Johnson said has been in contact with the court and made arrangements for Frost to “return to the facility where he is enrolled.”
