Good Samaritans Help Rescue Woman From Partially Submerged Vehicle In South Carolina

Good Samaritans in South Carolina helped first responders pull a motorist from a vehicle that was partially submerged in a pond Tuesday afternoon.

Horry County Fire Rescue said crews responded at around 2:46 p.m. to the area of Highway 17 Bypass and South Common Drive in Myrtle Beach for a report of a vehicle submerged in a pond. At the same time, an unrelated crash nearby resulted in multiple lanes of Highway 17 Bypass being blocked.

Bystanders helped first responders pull a woman out of the submerged vehicle through the drivers side window and carry her to a grassy area nearby…
