ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Legendary movie star Rita Moreno on Wednesday was honored with the George Eastman Award at the Dryden Theatre on East Avenue.
The award recognized Moreno’s significant contributions to the film industry.
Moreno is well-known for her role as Anita in “West Side Story,” for which she won an Academy Award for best supporting actress. She also appeared in such films as “Singin’ in the Rain” and “The Four Seasons’ and appeared on television in series as diverse as children’s program “The Electric Company” and prison drama “Oz.”…
