A San Francisco woman has been found guilty by a jury for her involvement in the transportation and possession of methamphetamine intended for sale, as per an announcement from District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. Christine Kolda, aged 48, faced charges for infractions of Health & Safety sections 11379 and 11378, according to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
In an unwavering effort to dismantle open-air drug markets, Jenkins stated, per the District Attorney’s Office, “My office will continue to do everything we can to close open-air drug markets and ensure that drug traffickers are held accountable.” She thanked the jury for their service and for delivering a verdict reflecting the gravity of these offenses to the community. The sentencing of Ms. Kolda is set to take place on December 12, and she could potentially face up to four years in state prison.
The arrest came about after San Francisco Police officers witnessed Kolda driving her Toyota Sienna back to her residence and subsequently conducted a search, uncovering 147.5 grams of methamphetamine divided among three baggies within her purse.
