Lillian is a celebrated cultural artist, motivational speaker, and storyteller with over 30 years of performance. She is particularly known for her Gullah Geechee storytelling and her signature piece, “The People Could Fly,” which retells a folktale symbolizing the faith and strength of a people rising above the tribulations of slavery.
In addition to her storytelling, Lillian is a ritual celebrant and wedding officiant, creating meaningful ceremonies that honor life’s most sacred moments. Her work centers on healing, restoration, and triumph, offering hope, joy, and a profound sense of connection. Lillian passionately uses her gift to illuminate the rich history of Savannah and the broader African Diaspora.
