Avesta Persian Middle Eastern has quietly opened the doors to its second location near Katy Asian Town at 1223 Grand West Blvd, Suite B-105, inviting locals in for lunch breaks, birthday celebrations, or just a quick escape to bold, homemade flavors rooted in tradition.
Founded in 2015 by Zafar Anvari—a passionate restaurateur originally from Dushanbe, Tajikistan—Avesta quickly became one of Houston’s top-rated Persian restaurants. The original location on Westheimer gained a loyal following and national recognition, with accolades like Yelp’s “Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas,” the Houston Chronicle’s “Top 100 Restaurants,” and a spot on Foursquare’s list of “Best Places for Kebabs in Houston.”
