Texas House Speaker Burrows tells Rotarians about new laws for education, recommends amendments on Tuesday’s ballot, why future is bright for Tech

Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows of Lubbock recapped this year’s legislative session and highlighted important constitutional amendments on next Tuesday’s ballot – saying brand new laws are highly consequential for improving education in Texas, lowering property taxes, securing strategic investment in Texas Tech and West Texas and improving public safety and national security.

“We passed the largest school finance bill in the history of Texas,” Burrows told the Rotary Club of Lubbock Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in downtown Lubbock.
