Dallas police are stepping up their downtown presence as the city prepares to host thousands of visitors for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The department is expanding its downtown unit from about 90 officers to 120 and rolling out new patrol initiatives to enhance visibility, crowd management, and safety.
