OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – As the federal government shutdown continues, time has run out for Nebraskans who rely on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services shared Tuesday that it is pausing benefits on Wednesday. In an effort to help those that rely on food assistance, Omaha Mayor John Ewing Jr. announced a citywide food drive starting Wednesday.
