Three people — including two young boys — were killed in a devastating crash on a Texas highway Monday afternoon.
Authoritiesresponded to the accident shortly after 3 p.m. local time on Oct. 27 near mile marker 524 on I-10 in Kendall County, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators said a GMC Sierra pickup truck had stopped on the right side of the roadway for reasons still under investigation when a semi-truck struck it from behind.
When emergency crews arrived, 23-year-old Giselle Cristobal and two boys, ages 3 and 4, were pronounced dead at the scene. The 31-year-old driver of the pickup was taken to a San Antonio medical center, and a 2-year-old girl was airlifted to another hospital for treatment.
