A San Antonio bookkeeper who ran a tax preparation business out of an adult bookstore has avoided federal prison after pleading guilty to aiding and assisting in filing false tax returns.
Laura Galvan-Guice received a sentence of five years of probation and ordered to pay $136,891 in restitution after she pleaded guilty to one of 15 identical charges against her in a March grand jury indictment. The other 14 were dropped as part of her plea deal.
