SHREVEPORT, La. – Confusion swirled this week over the future of Paint Your Heart Out Shreveport, the volunteer program that has revitalized homes for low-income and elderly residents for more than three decades.
KTBS went one-on-one Tuesday with City Council Chairwoman Tabatha Taylor, who says reports that the council voted to end the program are flat-out wrong.
“The answer is no,” Taylor told KTBS. “The continuation or discontinuation was not on the agenda. It is not a council initiative. The legislation we’re voting on only concerns donating leftover supplies to another entity. That’s it.”…
