A Pueblo man has been selected to lead the Front Range Passenger Rail District — Colorado’s largest special district — as its general manager.
Monday, Oct. 27, was Salvatore “Sal” Pace’s first day on the job. The rail district planned to provide rail service from Wyoming through several cities on Colorado’s Front Range into New Mexico was made possible through Pace’s rail transportation advocacy as a former Colorado State representative and Pueblo County commissioner.
“There’s a long list of reasons why it is really beneficial for Pueblo,” Pace told the Chieftain. “For the regular citizen who might not be using the service, they will benefit from less congestion on the interstate. They will benefit from cleaner air and they will benefit from overall lower transportation costs.”…
