A fatal crash on Interstate 205 in Clackamas County claimed the life of a Wilsonville man on Tuesday, authorities reported. According to the Oregon State Police, officers were dispatched to the scene near milepost 5 at 11:39 a.m., where they found a single vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a nearby tree.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 43-year-old Nicholas Russell Palmeri, was pronounced dead at the site of the accident. Investigators have not yet determined why the northbound Dodge Dakota veered off the road, and the case remains under investigation. The highway faced disruptions for several hours as a result, affecting traffic into the early afternoon.
