Wooster Road West project nears completion

BARBERTON — A multiyear road project to improve Wooster Road West in the City of Barberton is nearing completion as the road was opened to two-way traffic Oct. 25.

Justin Chesnic, Ohio Department of Transportation District 4 public information officer, said the $9 million project, which began in the spring of 2024, included resurfacing Wooster Road West from 31st Street to Hudson Run Road and reconstructing Wooster Road from Hudson Run Road to Second Street. The reconstruction portion included sewer and drainage improvements, new sidewalks, a road diet, bridge repairs and new signage and striping.
