Louisville mayor, Dare to Care holding food drive as families brace for SNAP benefits to expire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg is partnering with Dare to Care for a food drive to help local families as federal food aid faces disruption.

The drive is meant to help local pantries support residents affected by the federal government shutdown.

“We cannot let children or seniors go hungry,” Greenberg said in a news release. “We’re stepping up to make sure that doesn’t happen here in Louisville.”…
