Courtroom Incident Turns Into Arrest at AG’s Office After Threats Against Prosecutors

A man was arrested for reportedly threatening state prosecutors in Providence, GoLocal has learned.

According to police, the suspect – Corey Mangum – was at Superior Court on Wednesday with family members for his brother’s sentencing.

Police said while at the courthouse, Mangum “had made inappropriate and derogatory statements” towards a detective in the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau and called him a “f—king faggot,” and called a Providence Police Officer a “f—king a—hole” and a “disgrace to the badge.”…
