New Hanover County, North Carolina, has launched a new food resource website. This action follows the federal government shutdown, which has caused a temporary pause in Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) or SNAP benefits for November. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) directed states to stop distributing these funds. As a result, many local families may not receive food assistance this month.
