Mother speaks out after daughter shot, urges others to trust their sense of danger

DES MOINES, Iowa — On Sunday morning, 16-year-old Mya Buie was shot in the face by Kevin Fajardo, who Des Moines police are still searching for. Now, Buie’s mother, Jacorra Jones, is urging other parents to trust their guy when they see signs og danger.

Jones said it started after Fajardo took her car.

“I called him, let him know I need my car back,” Jones told Local 5. “He was disrespecting me, calling me on my name and stuff, which was something new to me.”…
