‘How Not To Say Goodbye’ creates space to process grief

Two years ago, Sam Wróbel was in the midst of processing his own grief when he met with a group of fellow artists, some of whom found themselves on the same path. As part of an exhibit put on by the Loudhouse and Archives art collectives, they sought to create a space where grieving was not only supported, but encouraged.

“I think a lot of us who had grief – whether it was something that had been stagnant in ourselves for a while or something that was really, really raw and fresh – found a lot of relief and healing in the whole process,” Wróbel says.

On Saturday, “How Not To Say Goodbye” will return to Lafayette as a standalone event in which people are invited to share their own stories of lost loved ones and the experiences that followed those losses…
