ALBANY — A fire that killed five people earlier this month has been ruled an arson.
Albany city police said Wednesday afternoon the five deaths are now considered homicides and are under investigation by the department along with the city fire department, state Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
Police have not said if they have identified a suspect and no arrests have been made. It’s unclear what led police to rule the fire as an act of arson. Department spokeswoman Megan Craft said the investigation was ongoing…
