Evansville Commission on Food Security activating readiness plan for SNAP users

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The City of Evansville Commission on Food Security announced they are activating their readiness plan and working with local partners to expand existing programs so that families who depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can continue to put food on the table.

According to a release, the commission will share more details about local food programs, volunteer opportunities and ways community members can help in the coming days. Anyone who needs food assistance or would like to get involved is asked to visit the Tri-State Food Bank or FeedEvansville.com.
