MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – An on-duty Memphis police officer hit and killed a pedestrian Thursday night while driving their squad car at the intersection of Park Avenue and Getwell Road.
A Memphis Police Department spokesperson confirms that backup officers were called to the scene near the University of Memphis’ Park Avenue campus at 6:41 p.m.
The victim, whose age and sex have not been identified, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries but did not survive…
