Police arrest suspect accused of stabbing ‘Chance’ the dog in throat

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Police Chief Joe Cecile said officers arrested a suspect in an investigation into the stabbing of a dog named “Chance.”

Chief Cecile said Raqueeb Shadreem, 47, was charged with aggravated animal cruelty, assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
