The Akron Police Explorers program rang in its latest cycle with an event bringing together students with a keen interest in law enforcement careers and officers well-versed in the realities of police work. Last Friday, October 24, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge played host to this gathering, as reported by the Akron Police Department on their Facebook page. The event was a mixer of sorts for students from Garfield CLC and Ellet CLC, who are walking the criminal justice vocational pathway, providing them with an opportunity to mingle with the very officers they might one day count as peers.
