After more than 20 years of service, Sergeant Song Kang of the Westfield Police Department in Indiana has retired. During his 23-year law enforcement career, including 21 years with Westfield, Kang served in multiple roles, from patrolling the streets and working with a K9 to training fellow officers as a sergeant, the department announced in a Facebook post.
“After more than 23 years of dedicated law enforcement service, including 21 years with the Westfield Police Department, Sergeant Song Kang announced his retirement and gave is final 10-42,” the Facebook post read. Over his career, Kang played a key role in the department’s training program, instructing in areas such as firearms, active shooter response, and K9 operations.
