GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A food service company based in Grand Rapids has opened a distribution center in Fort Wayne, a $51 million investment that will expand the company’s reach into Northeast Indiana.
Van Eerden Foodservice, a family-owned company, opened the 181,000 square foot building this week, which has storage space for frozen, refrigerated and room temperature food as well as a 26-door refrigerated dock and office space.
“This new facility allows us to deepen our ties within the Fort Wayne community while delivering fresh ideas, products, and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the foodservice industry,” said Dan Van Eerden, third-generation chairman of the company. “Our growth into Indiana is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.”…
