Snell, a pharmacist originally from Bowling Green, Kentucky, spent his honeymoon with his first wife in St. Petersburg in 1899 and moved to the area five years later. He went into business with three local men to invest and develop property and opened the Snell Isle subdivision in 1925 followed by the construction of the Snell Arcade between 1926 and 1928.
The 1,698-square-foot home was restored by Caporella Group of Florida, including rewiring original Swarovski crystal chandeliers, crafted in Italy in the 1920s, and refinishing inlaid cherry hardwood floors and hand-painted vaulted ceilings…
